From what I understand, AoM gives you second tier resists. Is this also the case for PD?

Pretty sure RA resists like AoM or PD are tertiary resists. Applied after everything else. This server they may be different though.

AoM / PD are secondary. There aren't really tertiary resists. The only weird resists are the racial ones: they reduce the same amount as primary resists but this reduction happens at the very end so that they don't affect the reduction of secondaries.

Simplified calculation (in the actual damage calcs the resists are multiplied together to get a final multiplier):

100 damage incoming, 25% primary resists, 5% racial, 10% secondary:

100
- 25 due to primary resists
= 75 damage
- 7.5 due to secondary resists
= 67.5 damage
- 5 damage due to racial resists (5% of the initial 100 damage are 5)
= 62.5 damage
= 62 damage (truncated)

Cool, thank you for clearing that up!

So essentially, AoM/PD reduce damage by about 75% of their listed value if we assume that you capped your resists through items, but will reduce damage by closer to the full listed amount as your item resists go down.

Also, does this mean resists from active RAs are also secondary, like bedazzling aura?

Bedazzling (and i believe BoF too) are not resists but absorb-bonuses. Would be intresting to hear how they are factored in
