Speed warp / Cut speed

Could make zerg fight more interesting by reducing the effects of outnumbered side loosing 80% of the time because peoples get speed 6 back in fight, but make it with a small radius to still allow flank positioning attack and also avoid a single group kiting a zerg too easily ?

too easy to dodge, too small radius, and a long timer. if you increase the radius, i'm fine with that. and it will make classes like reaver maybe more picked

The OP was already a bit mind boggling to me, but the reaver part really threw me off...

could you explain plz why you believe that adding speedwarps makes the reaver more desired in groups?

I was bouncing on what chryso said, my point is that there is no real tool to tame the tsunami effect induce by the zerg, so you etheir increase the utility of twf by changing the radius OR my original idea to implement speed warp on maybe only certain classes... my says got deformed as always, seems to be the classical method here...

The problem is if you bring speedwarps you have to introduce charge aswell....

No then light tanks need new charge ect. Pretty soon it's just live all over again.
Use twf and cc to do your bidding. Get classes with aoe root. Coordinate cc.

maps are so small zone would be under perma sw

several solutions :

split the tasks
get nf instead of of maps

I agree that it's needed, but lets make it a short duration so they're not everywhere.

30 sec duration
5 min re-use.

And while we're at it, give it to classes that struggle to get groups currently, at max spec in their "caster-line".

No way. Speed warps completely ruined DAoC in my opinion. Easy mode for extend groups. Already Dark Age of Castalot in this game state as it is. Anything to do with MLs will wreck this server.

A short duration warp with a lower radius than what was seen on live would be good for zerg control, without slowing people down to molasses forever.

Something like an RA Speedwarp turret that pulses every 5 seconds, nullifying speed for 5 seconds for everyone within 1000 radius. 10m re-use. Just a brainstorm:

Level 1
Lasts 10 seconds, pulses twice
Level 2
15 seconds, 3 pulses
Level 3
20 seconds, 4 pulses
Level 4
25 seconds, 5 pulses
Level 5
30 seconds, 6 pulses

yea i also agree its needed. tanks are so op because you can not easily break their speed 6. they run straight into the backline of the enemy group. ofc you can stat debuff them to break it okay.. but vs zergs you can not get away as an 8 men.

add it as an RA is a fine move.
