We are really glad that we finally take the next big step on our way to create a server for everyone who loves this old game. We are also very happy that so many of you share the same passion as we do. Believe it or not, we are as much excited as you are.

But we are also very serious people and we dont want to make any promises to you that we cant keep. Thats why read the following and always keep it in your mind please:

It is a Beta. As all of you know Beta is a abbreviation for Better Expect Troubles Always. Dont be mad at us when the server crashes randomly, when there are a lot of freezes, when there will be rollbacks, when a style, a pet, a spell or anything else doesnt work as you expect it to work. Especially in the first days of the Beta there will be a lot of problems and that is a good thing. Thats what this Beta is for: To find and hunt down all these nasty, little trouble-causing-bugs that keep us from having fun. But the more people help, the faster we will be able to end the Beta and get ready for launch.

Patience is the key. We are a big team (more than 20 people spending their time on this project) with members from all over the world. So there should be always someone that you can ask if you need assistance or any kind of help. There is also an appeal-system. But dont forget, we are trying to help everyone and we may not be able to help you instantly.

Feedback, we need your feedback. We made a lot of changes and we think they will make this server special. But not everything is set in stone. Give us your feedback, tell us what you think, what you might think is good or bad. We are very open to changing things as you may have seen before. But give it a try first. Dont just say, this is bad because it is not what it should be. We are different and we want to be different. Test it, try it, let us know what you think about it.

Our mob placement is based on 1.65, but that doesnt mean that we strictly stick to that. There are a lot of different sources if you are placing mobs and nearly every source tells you something different. Many of our maps are a mixture of the available sources and what we think is the right amount of mobs. We added camps, we removed camps, we changed mob levels. Feel free to report any missing mob, but most of this is intended and may not be a bug to us. Especially in the starter zones we placed extremly more mobs than normal. We did that so that you dont have to fight over camps. If for example Mag Mell is crowed, use a horse route, which are always for free, and take a ride to howth. Also dont forget that you have personal porter stones, which will make traveling much easier and faster. And there is SI with plenty of mobs waiting to challenge you.

Please dont report any bugs in the discord or to a staff member ig, as we cant always have an eye on it. if you find a bug, visit our bug tracker http://redmine.playphoenix.online/issues. Do a search if the bug has already been reported and if not, open a bug report.

Changes: These changes are probably new to you from your further Daoc experience:

ALL mobs between lvl 6 and 55 dont drop their regular loot. They only drop Trashloot and ROGs. Please dont report any missing items to the bug tracker if the mob is in that levelrange.

Trainers dont hand out any weapon, armor or jewelry when leveling up. You will easily get your gear when leveling.

Every ROG armor and weapon has a proc on it (DD, LL or Heal).

Every player has 1 full and 2 ra respecs for free.

In the capital cities are free respec stone merchants during the whole time of beta. Feel free to test anything you ever wanted to test.

We removed ancient ingredients from recipes. They may still drop from some mobs, but it is trashloot only.

The Phoenix Feather merchants can be found in the capital cities. If you are interested in an item, click the item and it will tell you which boss you have to kill.

There is an account vault in every capital city.

There is a merchant at which you can buy summonable merchants and summonable vaults in every capital city.

The Phoenix Herald, Phoenix Postal Service and the Phoenix Bank merchants dont work for now.

Creating a guild cost 50g and only needs 4 people to be grouped.

DF will be open for every realm for the first 4 weeks.

Every keep that your realm owns gives 1% xp bonus to the realm. If a guild claims that keep, your realm gets another 1% xp bonus. There is NO bonus for xping in the area of a claimed keep.

There is a social grp bonus. Every class in a grp brings a 5% bonus xp.

Most of the quests are still not implemented yet. But all the collection tasks. You can find a complete list of collection tasks for every realm here: http://playphoenix.wiki/category/quests/

Factions are working. At the moment you only need to kill 100 mobs to get it from aggro to friendly. This will be increased before we go live.

Useful Commands (http://playphoenix.wiki/slash-commands/):

/train: If you are too lazy to visit your trainer, type /train. You can skill everywhere in the world. If you want to use a respec stones, you have to see your trainer. This command will be removed after Beta.

/craftqueue: <times> / <quality>% / buy <n> You can craft <times> or until you reach a certain <quality> or buy <n> times ingredients for a recipe

/challenge: The leader of a grp can start this mode, where mobs are getting way harder but also drop more gold and xp. See this link for a better description: https://playphoenix.online/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=49

/moveitem: a command to switch items in different options. Very useful is „/moveitem sell #bag1“ if you want to sell the items of your first bag at once. Same is for bag2, 3, 4 and 5. /moveitem <source slot> <target slot> works like a switch command.

I hope this massive infos will help you when starting your Phoenix experience. Dont forget that we have server rules and even it is „just“ a beta, you have to stick to them. Im out for now, wishing you a wonderful time on our server.
