Welcome brave Fighters, it is time for the ARENA again.

This upcoming weekend from friday, June 7th until sunday, June 9th, we will open the Arena in Stygia. There will be tournaments for (group)sizes 1, 2, 3, 5 and 8 players.
If you want to join the event, you just have to click the Arena NPCs in Druim Ligen, Castle Sauvage or Svasud. They will port you to Stygia where you can register you (or your grp) at the arena registry. The tournaments for each group size are independent of each other and happen possibly concurrently, every so often there will be a check (probably every 5 minutes) and if there are enough teams queued for a specific group size the tournament for that group size will start. You will get ported to a random TOA location where your enemy(ies) will spawn at the opposite end of you. Each tournament ends after all participating teams fought each other once. The team with the most wins will be the winner of the tournament. if you want to take part at the next tournament, you have to register again, or use the autoqueue command.
If you want to leave the Arena, you have to unregister at the Register NPC.

Basic rules on the arena (so far):
- Players will be able to group players from different realms
- Region chat will be disabled
- You are only allowed to stealth for the first 3 mins of a fight. If you do so after 3 mins you will lose this fight.
- Each fight has a radius of 25k locs. If you leave it, you will lose the fight.
- Sorcs with at least 32 mind cause a level 50 pet to spawn, Sorcs with at least 20 mind cause a level 40 pet to spawn, Minstrels cause a level 50 pet to spawn, Mentalists cause a level 45 pet to spawn.
- No flames, insults, etc.

We are still discussing if there will be rps for kills in the arena and if active RAs are up every fight and if all active RAs will be available. Vanish will most likely not work in the Arena. We will update this post as soon as we have decided.

The Arena will be open for a 2 hour test probably today or tomorrow.

Useful commands:

/arena ready: Ready up in preparation phase, must be used by group leader (after you got ported to the fight location)

/arena unregister: Cancels registration when not in a tournament or stops auto queue when currently in a tournament

/arena autoqueue: Enables automatically queueing again after a tournament is over. If you dont use this command, you have to register again after a tournament is over.

/arena queued: Lists all teams of all sizes that are queued for a tournament.

/arena current: Infos about the current tournaments

/arena info: shows arena instruction text

Update:
Matches between teams are now a best of 3 with cool downs / RAs only resetting between matches, that means the first fight against another team everyone will have everything up but there won't be any further resets against the same team in the same tournament. The up to 3 rounds are back to back in the same arena location.

We're still unsure about the rp, there will be a test later today with these settings:
Arena participation counts towards participating in the general participation task
Kill / Rez RP and BP is 0 in the arena, you still get normal gold for the kills
Arena kills count towards kill tasks
There is a reward per match at the end of each tournament with a won match giving twice as much as a loss, this reward is scaled with RR just like the normal task reward and depends on the tournament group size (e.g. 8 man giving more than solo but it won't be 8 times as much).

Failing to ready up in the preparation phase of each round will remove you from the tournament and not queue you again even if you had autoqueue enabled

The arena now utilizes our instancing as used for the pve instance, that means potentially multiple fights can happen at the same location, people in different instances should obviously be unable to interact with / see each other. As this is the first test outside special regions that are completely designated as being instanced there is a chance for some issues in the first test later today.

Update 2:

There can now be multiple concurrent round robin tournaments for the same group size. Every 5 minutes there will be a check for all queued teams, if a group size has at least 3 teams queued a new tournament for that group size will begin unless an active tournament for that group size has at most these number of fights remaining:
Group size 1: 10
Group size 2 - 5: 5
Group size 6 - 8: 3

Forfeiting by not readying up will now grant a win to the other team and prevent all members of the forfeiting team to queue again for 15 minutes. If both teams fail to ready up neither will win and both teams will be blocked for 15 minutes. Multiple reminders and instructions on how to ready up will now happen when only 60 or less seconds are remaining. The time to ready up has been increased to 3 minutes for group sizes 5 and 8.
