Hi,

After this latest update today, the executable is being moved to Quarantine by my anti-virus (AVG) . Is this something I can ignore and move it out etc?

Just wanted to post to see if it was just me or others too.

thanks

You will need to:

1. Go into your antivirus settings
2. Remove the DAoC/phoenix files from quarantine
3. Add the whole DAoC folder as exception

Finally re-download the launcher from the website and overwrite the existing files in the DAoC folder:

dosnt work for me, patcher is in a loop. Give info in forum, when this shard is back without any malware.

Maybe check the files in something like VirusTotal, like this https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/79df3777baae568afdf2b4992284c02bb4561eff38af0fb141a82300e1388c14/detection and then decide if it's probably a false positive or not.

any chance of just fixing the binary so it doesn't appear as a virus? This just started happening to me about a week ago. I've deleted and reinstalled Launcher.zip 3 times and after a day or so the virus warnings come back. which leads me to believe it really is a virus!

and disabling it in the AV is what hackers would say.. not developers.

Microsoft already updated their virus definitions, the other will follow sooner or later.
