I am starting in Alb and was wondering what classes are not typically found that are needed for small/8mans?

Rejuve friars, Minstrels who can actually take advantage of a pet while doing everything else required, peel tanks.

I would be interested in playing a Rejuv friar, oh yay the enjoyment of leveling a support class again though >.<

Level full staff/enhance, it's fast.

So start staff obiously....but keep it my level? or enhance my level. Also was thinking 44 rejuv/42enhance/25 staff. Gives me last hot, 2.0 NS cure and 500-600 heal. Keeps me with a side snare as well if needed and I have the last resist buffs.

Well it’s really not classes that are short... it’s some races.

In particular the Innocu

i don't really know friar, but always check each levels the benefits...for example there is no need to increase enhancement to 21 if you lose out on staffskill for that...

if i interpret the buffline from charplaner correct, the most important thing is the haste buff (but that could be completely wrong, so just take this as an example)...so i would try and go from self-haste lvlX to the next higher self-haste in one go, while having higher staff in between etc...

To level a melee friar

Aim for 7 ench, 8staff
Then 7ench 10staff
Then 12ench 10staff
Then it doesn’t matter for awhile till lvl 29
When I’d go 29staff (for awesome anytime style) and 18 ench, 7rejuv (use low lvl spec heal between fights as it is more efficient)

Then leave staff at 29 for a few lvls and get rejuv to 8or16 and ench to 25

friar is not really essential and in most cases 2clerics are better. so i would not put him on the short list in albion.

Friars are very good in small man (all specs: hybrid, staff or rejuv) and rejuv friars should get a lot of 8v8 groups unless it’s elitist GvG etc (But if it’s that sort of 8v8 your after I guess you’d be told what class that guild group specifically needs).

I have no idea about the current state of RvR as I took a break for a few months since NF / reflex nerf.

Yeah, who needs 24 more resist to the other two realms' most-used magic damage type?

A paladin can do the same and with a theu you wont get much nuke dmg + if debuffed the benefit of having 24% resist is not that much.
sure its still playable, but most setups will run 2clerics + eventually friar.
