Caster Pets los

Is it possible to look into changing the chanter / cabby mage (etc) pet line of sight check?

For example soon as one of the pets starts to cast, no matter where you move the spell will always land. This could be behind a wall / hill and alternative terrain.

Thanks

Agreed. Would love if they looked into this issue-- if you run 3k units away and the pet started to cast on you before, it will land. Same goes for Necro pets-- kinda bonkers.

Afaik this works intended. If you would remove that anismists were not able to do damage at all with his shrooms. xD

Yeah I would think this is intended since pets aren't smart enough to position themselves well. For instance, they seem to run to just within range and then start casting, regardless of what the person they're casting on is doing. If they had the same exact checks as players, then all you'd ever have to do is run away and casting pets would never touch you, even if they're technically able to catch you with speed or something. They'd instead keep running just barely into range, casting, having their cast cancelled, and then run into range again.

Perhaps, the necro was a good point to add there!

Very true.
Maybe not exactly working as intended, but if you fix pet LoS or cast-range, then they never will land a cast, as indeed they are not players. they will not position themselves in a way that they have LoS for casting, instead they just run into melee-range, as you see it with ench-caster-pets all the time, as soon as they got no LoS anymore.
