Question about bans

Hello I was banned well over a year ago for doing something totally stupid. I regret it. It was so dumb and I’m sorry. Is there anything I can do to regain access to the game? I’m not even asking for my old characters back, just the opportunity to start fresh. If there’s nothing I can do I get and understand. Just thought it would be worth an ask. Thanks
