When you have these to increase attack rate how does it affect dps and per attack damage?

You want to cap quickness at 250. MoArms just lets you swing slightly faster. A lot of points invested for little return though.
Same with MoArchery.. get to lower the draw time by tenths of a second.

In term of DPS, Quickness (until 250)>MoArms>Aug str>Crit RA
Crit RA are really good at lvl 2, not above.

Okay
So increasing attack speed with quickness or RA increases dps?

Yes, it diminishes your style bonus per hit, but overall, your dps increase. It also helps to proc more over a fight.

Everyone says this, but I am yet to see any proof beyond anecdotal responses like "I tried it and it sucks."

Archery? Styled or unstyled?
And is it verified that formulae handles same as melee?

I tried and many others, Aug STR brings more per hit than MoP 3+

It`s not only that, the variance make things like FE and MoP very unattractive. Was way better before the chancge.

Literally takes 20 seconds to do the math.

Then do it and show me. It would have taken you an extra 17 seconds to give me the proof I asked for, but instead you decided to be sarcastic with your response. I'm not saying people are wrong, I'm asking for evidence that I obviously cannot supply myself because I don't know the formulas.

nah when variance was removed I dropped crit altogether and have now picked it up again even with the lowered chance

You just have to check the Changes thread.

Crit RAs are pretty worthless on this server, I don´t bother with them on any character. Even MoP/WP 9 is +25% crit chance with 30% extra damage or 30/4=7.5% extra damage (for 34 RSPs or 3.5 realm ranks) and very non-spikey compared to what they´re supposed to be. You don´t have to be a math genius to pick MoM or the Aug RAs instead and just settle with the base 10% crit chance.

The math hasn´t changed, not even with variance (which still has the same mean crit damage with the same crit chance).

At very high MoM/Aug RAs a case can be made for WP/MoPain 2 (which is a +2%/+4% to deal an average of 30% extra damage, or a 0.6% damage increase for 1 RSP each). At WP/MoPain 2-3, you´re at +0.6% for 2 RSPs already, or +0.3% for 1 RSP.

Just for comparison, MoM 5-6 and 6-7 is +2% for 5 RSPs, or +0.4% for 1 RSP. MoM 7-8 and 8-9 (+2% for 7 RSPs) is only slightly worse than those low level increases in crit RAs. And then MoM has the extra benefit of affecting procs (including poisons), unlike crit RAs.

And the Aug RAs, MoArt/Arms/Archery etc. usually offer other benefits than just a damage increase, like better defense, power pool, quicker application of effects and the like.

Is it really THAT bad? oO

How does it play out for a Class like savage that scale Str/dex 50/50 and don't have an equivalent to MOM

I think of MoArms as a replacement for Celerity on Live. It helps you reach the ideal goal of a 1.5 swing speed cap. IMO for a sneak capped swing speed is important, but it is not possible for 2H weapons. classes.

Swing speed is calculated based on your weaponspeed, quickness, haste % and celerity %. Capping swing speed maximizes that component of your DPS and also increases weapon proc rates.

I wouldn't gimp Aug Str to cap it, but as you get higher RR it is worth the points.
