"In an age long past, the titan Olcasgean was banished to the ends of the world where it could do no harm to man nor threaten the powers-that-be. Ignorant of how the times had changed, this wayward child of Gaea seethed in anger for many millennia, plotting to exact its revenged upon those who no longer existed. With its limited, though significant power, Olcasgean spread its roots out beneath soil of Hy Brasil, tainting much of the life that lived there".

1) Introduction & Basic Informations

Hello everyone, my name is Alex – alias Keepo – I've been playing DAoC since '02; a huge thanks to Phoenix's GMs, Devs and all my fellow realmmates for helping me testing the mechanics and tactics for the Bosses. In this guide you will find everything you need to know about the Epic Dungeon of Hibernia (tactics, useful commands and raid-leading rules in general).

General Infos – Feathers, Kill Credit and Merchants in Tir na Nog

High level mobs (56+) killed in Darkness Falls or in the Epic Dungeons give a particular currency called Phoenix's Feathers that you can use to buy armor, weapons, or Alchemy components from the Merchants in Tir na Nog, located on the left when you port to the capital city. However, to buy an item from them, you have to kill the named Boss that regularly drops it: after this is done, your whole account has the credit for that particular Boss and, if you have enough Feathers, you can buy your item directly from the merchant (this way, if you are unlucky during the Loot Phase, partecipating in 2-3 raids will guarantee you have the item you desire!). Galladoria is the perfect Dungeon for Feather farming: normal mobs in Galladoria drop 25 Feathers, Named Bosses around 300 Feathers.

Who can attend the Raid?

Everybody who is level 40+ can join the raid: the mobs in Galladoria have huge HP pools but they take damage as if they are yellow to your level (this way casters can hit them easily, you don't have awful miss rates when swinging in melee), for more detailed info about this aspect, visit here: https://forum.playphoenix.online/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3060

Raid Duration

I've lead about 15 Raids during Phoenix's Beta (ranging from 60 to even 100+ people partecipating), it takes about 2hours45min-3hours for a full dungeon clear and Loot handling, so make sure you have enough spare time.

Group Compositions

1) Main tanking team: bard, warden, 2 shield tanks who will crossguard each other all the time, 3 druids + X
2) Second tanking team: bard, warden, 2 shield tanks who will crossguard each other all the time, 2 druids + XX
3) All other groups don't need to have particular composition, they will assist with DPS and will not tank mobs or Bosses, so less naturalists are required. Make sure to build up decently anyway.

Battlegroup Leader Tips, Useful Infos

-When running this event, you always have to create a Battlegroup (BG): to do so, type /bg invite <name>. After the person has joined, all the others can join typing /bg join <your name>.
-Announce your raid few days before, so that more people are likely to join.
-Try to give directions when moving inside the Dungeon, it's really easy to get lost if you don't know the route (your map is your best friend!).
-People will likely move ahead of you, try your best to designate someone in your group to pull: mobs in Galladoria cannot be CC'ed so coordination and assisting one target at a time is extremely important to not get overwhelmed (especially with smaller-size raids).
-Animists will tend to shroom everywhere and this will cause unwanted aggro; make sure to tell them not to shroom randomly, especially near Bosses if you are not ready for the fight!
-Don't forget power pots, especially on healing classes, and tinderboxes for the longer fights.

2) Getting started

Teleport to Necht (Vigilant Rock, SI) and head straight North towards World's End, following the road. After reaching World's End, follow the coast on the right side, avoiding octonids, death shrouders and arboreal ochtapas: you will reach a zone with dead trees, keep moving North until you reach the entrance for Galladoria (a big tree), at 50k,14.5k loc.
Enter the Dungeon, buff up and then don't forget to type "/bg loot chest enable" (see section 4) for more details about the Loot).

Here: http://www.valmerwolf.com/mappe/si_hib/si_dun_galladoria.jpg you can find a map of the Dungeon with the location of all the Bosses.

I usually follow this order for killing the Bosses, but it's not mandatory. If you haven't lead this Raid before, take your time to study the map and the pathways.

-Organic Energy Mechanism
-Olcasar Geomancer
-Conservator
-Spindler Broodmother
-Beatha, Tine, Xaga
-Giant Sporite Cluster
-Easmarach
-Olcasgean with the 4 Primals (Air, Earth, Water, Fire)
And eventually:
-Huriontex
-Aroon
-Uaimh Lairmaster

3) Boss Tactics
The Bosses in Galladoria have unique mechanics (they cast various spells, summon wave of adds at certain %HP thresholds), so each of them require particular tactics to be dealt with effectively. I'm gonna report the best ways of killing the Boss that I've personally found to be the most effective, along with a breif description of the Boss itself and the overall difficulty.

-Organic Energy Mechanism
Difficulty: MEDIUM

After buffing up on top of the entrance, jump down and head North, follow the tunnel and then turn left, you will move towards the Geomancer's area (avoid him at first, you will get him later when on the way back). Keep moving and turn right this time, you will reach another area full of normal mobs (uaimhs and olcasars): circle to the right and make a full loop and then head towards the Organic Energy Mechanism's room (top right of the map).
Clear the area of all the bottom feeders, then move the raid inside the room, make sure to encircle the Boss from all corners. This Boss has a reactive damage shield up all the time, so melees will get hurt a lot just by hitting it. Furthermore, during the encounter it will broadcast something on the line of "<name> looks sickly": after a short period, the person will get poisoned and the poison will spread to all the others around him! It's CRUCIAL to clear the DoT as soon as it appears, otherwise the whole raid will wipe because of it.

-Olcasar Geomancer
Difficulty: MEDIUM

Head back towards the Geomancer's room an get ready for the fight.
Position the whole raid in the center of his room, tanks will taunt him in his corner away from healers and casters. He can cast a huge AoE cold DD, and every 10% of health lost, he will spawn a lot of geomancers minions that will charge support classes. It's IMPERATIVE to stack in one place and use pbaoe spells to clear all the adds fast (few tanks can help slamming the minions near the pbaoer's). Make sure to look at the Boss' health so you know when the next wave of adds is going to spawn. This mechanic is frequent with other Bosses in Galladoria so make sure to get used to this aspect of the fight.

-Conservator
Difficulty: EASY

Head back, follow the tunnels going straight and you will reach a big waterfall.
A big shrouder that guards the waterfall, he can cast a huge AoE disease/DoT spell, but aside from that it's an easy fight. Just make sure to drag him a little from his lake, if you die in there you cannot be rezzed.

-Spindler Broodmother
Difficulty: MEDIUM

Open the wooden barrier, clear the room and then turn left towards the tunnel with the uaimhs. You will reach another room, turn left this time as well towards the Broodmother's area, keep following the path until you are there.
Clear the room of all the normal spindlers, then tanks will drag it in one corner. As soon as this is done, all the others have to charge inside the room and stand in the middle; every 5% of health lost, about 15-20 red-con spindlers will spawn from her and charge the support classes. Coordination in the positioning and pbaoe'ing are CRUCIAL here, if you can't kill all the adds fast enough you will be overwhelmed and the whole raid will wipe. If you are struggling, make sure that melees stop damaging the Broodmother, otherwise more and more adds will come.
After this fight, you can use "/bg loot chest spawn" on flat terrai to have a first idea of the loot gathered so far – take a few minutes break, type again "/bg loot chest spawn" and get moving again.

-Beatha, Tine, Xaga
Difficulty: MEDIUM-HARD

Move back and head towards the tunnels where the hypogean beasts are, then follow the path towards Xaga's room.
After clearing all the hypogean beasts, you can single target pull Beatha and Tine, they will die fast (they might cast some aoe DD spells but that's all). After the two lights are dead, encircle Xaga and let tanks taunt him in his corner. During the fight, he may cast a huge aoe mezz and floating staves will spawn and cast a huge pbaoe spell around them slowing everybody caught in it. Make sure to MOVE AWAY from them as soon as they spawn. If a staff spawns on top of the Boss where all the melees are fighting, have them backsprint and drag the boss away from the pbaoe!

-Giant Sporite Cluster
Difficulty: HARD

After killing Xaga, move back from his lair and head towards the big ramp alongside the lake where Easmarach is. Make sure to tell everyone that the sporite is at the END of the ramp! Avoid aggroing it while descending, if it happends you are all probably dead. You can jump off the roots inside the lake away from Easmarach and safely swim towards the beach. This Boss has a similar mechanic to the Geomancer, but it casts his aoe DD more often, can cast a huge aoe mezz and spawns sporite adds every 10% of health lost. Stack in one place and pbaoe the adds as said above when they spawn.
This is by far the hardest Boss aside from Olcasgean so if you are not confident enough, skip it.

-Easmarach
Difficulty: MEDIUM-HARD

Have one Ranger or Light Eldritch pull it and drag it towards the beach on the west side of the beach, where the main tanking team tanks ONLY will taunt it. All the other melees will stay in the back with healers and casters: every 10% of health lost, he will spawn 2 lurkers; even though the adds are less this time, they are normal Galladoria mobs so they will 2-shot support classes, they have to be dealt quickly and efficiently. The Boss itself is not difficult, may cast an aoe DD spell but that's it.

Olcasgean with the 4 Primals (Air, Earth, Water, Fire)
Difficulty: HARD

After killing Easmarach, cross the lake and head towards the West. Clear the tunnels from the deep shrouders and after the waterfall you will reach the Final Boss room.
The encounter is difficult but not impossible if you know what you are doing and if people listen
Coordination is MANDATORY here: tanks from the first group always have to be tanking Olcasgean in his place, while the tanks in the second tanking group will take care of the Primal: everytime olcasgean loses 20% of health, a Primal will spawn, in this order:
-Air: melee and it casts a nasty DoT, have 1 naturalist in your group focus on healing it while the others heal the damage caused
-Earth: melee and aoe DD spells
-Water: melee and Nearsight, cure it or use group heals/speadheals
-Fire: melee and aoe DD spells
As soon as the add spawns, everybody except the main tanks have to kill the Primal as soon as possible, dragging it away from the main Boss and avoiding DPS on Olcasgean. During these phases, you will get hit by huge DD aoe spells, disease and DoT from the main Boss, while the Primals will just use melee attacks and mostly AoE Spells based on their element (Air=spirit; Earth=matter; Water=cold;Fire=heat). People will die a lot, rezz fast, rebuff and after one Primal is dead, take time to rest with tinderboxes before damaging Olcasgean again (Verdant Animists can cast pbt bombers on the tanks, who will engage the Boss while others rest, heal up and rebuff).
The fight is decently long but following this tactic it should be done without much hassle. Just make sure to kill the Fire Primal (the last one) before killing Olcasgean, otherwise with the main Boss dead, the Primal will disappear without loot or credit for his kill!
In my experience, after this encounter people will likely want to stop and it's reasonable (you should have around 8k feathers by now in your inventory), but if you want to continue for 30-45minutes more, you can add up to 2k feathers and more drops by killing the last 3 Bosses who are not difficult.

-Huriontex
Difficulty: EASY

After killing Olcasgean, head back towards Easmarach's lake and procede towards Huriontex's area on the East side of the map. Kill all the normal mobs (olcasar belladonna, olcasar warrior, ..) and then go for him. He has a reactive damage shield up and may cast AoE DD spells, but that's all about him, very easy fight.

-Aroon
Difficulty: EASY

Another easy Boss, he is located close to Huriontex's area. Follow the tunnels and move towards his room. Before engaging him clear the whole room, he has a reactive damage shield and can cast AoE DD spells and mezz, but it's not a hard fight at all.

-Uaimh Lairmaster
Difficulty: EASY

The last Boss is easy as well, he is located in the middle-centered are of the map; this giant baboon has the reactive damage shield up so make sure to heal melees, can cast AoE DD spells but it will go down fairly easily.

4) The Loot

On flat terrain, type "/bg loot chest spawn", all the items with 60+ utility and the non-rog items will appear inside the chest. All the items with lower utility (such as low quality rog armor/jewelry and normal drops) are automatically salvaged to create a money pool. At the end, you can either do "/bg loot chest distribute" to equally distribute the money between the partecipants or do "/bg loot chest withdraw" to keep if for yourself.
Everybody can look at the items inside the chest, right click on them for infos, but only the BG Leader will be able to take items from the chest, at first (if this happens, a message will be broadcasted in the BG channel).
Give some minutes so that people can look at the items, then have everybody come near you. Then, type "/random record 1000" and after this, type "/y": after this signal, every player is allowed to type "/random 1000" for his roll result.
After everybody has rolled, type "/random stop".
There is no possible cheating, only the first roll will be recorded in the list the BG leader will see( with the command "/random list", and the results will be displayed from the highest roll to the lowest.
After all of this, the BG Leader will follow the list of rolls and grant the possibility to each partecipant to grab a single item from the chest, typing "/bg loot grant <name>": the player will now be able to pick the item he desires and put it in his inventory, and all the other players will see his choice broadcasted in the BG channel. Keep granting single players the possibility to get their item thanks to the command until the end.

And.... that's about it.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Thanks again to everybody who joined my Raids during the Beta, to the GMs and the Devs (that loved stalking us throughout the Dungeon), hope to see you all again when the server launches for more Raids!
