What weapon are usually used for friar? 3.3 with celerity proc? LT proc or the Sidi with heal proc better?

Slower is better if u have haste proc up (which you will in most fights)
Fast staff (3-3.5spd) procs more heals from your healproc and is better against SMs/Wardens. Additionally, better for peels in 8man.

I would recommend having a fast and slow staff.

1st Main (slow) Staff:
Sidi 5.0spd 18%Heal proc is good, (except on assassins.) or
5.6spd 18%ablative is good, & best on stealth. or
5.5spd 15% LT proc is also good, best DPS.

2nd (fast) Staff:
3.3spd 18%Celerity proc or
3-3.5 crafted with DD or haste proc.

For a rich Friar - Go weaponless and change staff based on opponent or even mid fight.

For a poor Friar - Go with Sidi ablative or RoG LT proc slow staff and get a matched fast staff SCed with the same stats.

Thanks bro! I have a LT MP 5.0 now and I think to buy the 3.3 with haste proc, think to use it while my celerity was down and switch to slower one

Tks again for the info

I actually tested it a couple months ago and the proc doesn't change for faster staff. You will have the SAME amount of procs go off from a 5.0 and a 3.5 within a minute of attacks.

The test looked at 25 staff vs 39 staff, and tested a 5.5 player crafted staff, 5.0 sidi, and a 3.0 player crafted staff. The only thing that changed with the dps, which was higher (of course) with the slowest staff.

It doesn't work like this for weapon. Each proc as a base % that is then multiplied by the weapon speed.
Let's say the base proc % for a LT effect is 5% (I don't know the real value on phoenix)
on a 3.9 > 5*3.9 = 19.5% chance to proc per hit
on a 4.2 > 5*4.2 = 21% chance to proc per hit

at the cap 1.5s per swing, you hit 40 times per minutes (60/1.5), so with the 5% base proc chance your ppm will be 8.4 for a 4.2 speed (21%*40) and 7.8 for a 3.9 (19.5%*40).

Pretty much, however, the given proc chance is always for a weapon speed of 3.5. In the case of feather weapons with 18% it would be 18 / 3.5 * actual weapon speed to get the chance per hit.

so for a sidi 5.5 crafted or rog staff:
15/3.5*5.5=23.6% proc chance
For a sidi 5.0 staff:
18/3.5*5=25.7% proc chance
For 3.0 crafted or rog staff:
15/3.5*3=12.9% proc chance

LT is not better than heal proc? may be heal is lower but damage is better no? the crafted haste is same of the 3.3 feathers staff?

PS: How many quickness and MoA need to cap weapon speed?

with +10Qui at creation, you'll need 75 Qui from gear and 93 from buffs to reach 238.
If I'm correct you'll need Aug Qui 3 for the 12 missing points (250 cap).

Can't help you about MoA, I don't remember this part :p

my main is the 5.6 staff with abla(i don't rememeber the name), i can assure you that the dmag is really high, i hit leather for 370 (without crits)about every swing, when self haste is ended i switch on 5.0.

For me main is 5.0 LT atm, than I switch to 3.3 haste proc when celerity is down. And I use a 3.0 LT too some time but I can look for a 5.5 LT than.
