About us

Phoenix is a Freeshard (free to play) Server for Dark Age of Camelot. We are very open to the players and the community has helped shaped the server into what it is today. We have used patch 1.65 as the foundation and have made numerous class and game play adjustments, as well as, added Quality of Life features to make your playing experience much more enjoyable.

really fun event, kinda of ruined at the end by the premade seal clubbing of the autogroup fodder.

About 300 new accounts, some of those (at least) were multi accs.

The event is a hodgepodge of ideas without a direction. Some cool ideas, but if you want to turn daoc into a battlegrounds game just look how successful Warhammer Online was, it wasn't. It allows for another avenue of play which is welcome, but won't likely attract any new players, just retain players who would have otherwise left.

Pros:
Quick gameplay, basically daoc as a FPS

Cons:
Elitism is enhanced, not curbed
All 3 realms means most classes will be considered unplayable
Zero chance for pugs to compete against any kind of coordination (premades/discord)
No level playing field, RR still trumps without imposed limits

Some more statistics might come once it's over, but a couple quick numbers for now:
754_350 deaths by 23_864 unique characters with 382 deaths being the highest amount for a single character and 1_719 characters having died at least 100 times each.

I totally agree regarding tire/lw but the free fa2 is basically a nerf for solo players. Sure, the disease problem would be solved (but it could also be solved by just lower the disease duration).

Especially as a non-stealther solo player I'm often forced into 1v2+ which can also involve kiting (I specced fa1 on my reaver for example). With the free hp boost the TTK will just get higher, ergo higher chances for even more adds and in the end in many cases less rp's for me. In my eyes it's basically a buff for zergers/bridge campers. If that's the intention fine, I will have to live with that. But according to the opening post it should be a buff for players like myself. I really don't see that.
