About us

Phoenix is a Freeshard (free to play) Server for Dark Age of Camelot. We are very open to the players and the community has helped shaped the server into what it is today. We have used patch 1.65 as the foundation and have made numerous class and game play adjustments, as well as, added Quality of Life features to make your playing experience much more enjoyable.

Once templated, Friars get DS groups just fine!

Sidi healproc staff (5.0spd)

Then SC a 3.0 spd staff and put similar stats to the one you’ve picked above for peeling!

Best solo archer is Scout because of no immunity anytime root. Followed by los jump shots.

Brought this up to a gamemaster on discord and they said i should post it here that they thought it could be a good idea. Allowing the option of donating on the site, in return different donor levels could give you rewards that DO NOT ALTER GAMEPLAY. So no op items ect, but maybe some unique titles or cosmetic items like a cloaks or something you could skin, maybe unique items for your house, like different bindstones or being able to change your NPCs, such as having a merchant who looks like a Cabby pet or something. Nothing that would change actual in game functions but just fun little rewards. I'd be more than happy to donate to help keep the server up or pay for upgrades on the back end ect. Since the server is free, and I'm sure others would be willing to throw in a few bucks as well.

Perfect example of how busted the no immunity root is. The guy literally does it to the same guy over and over then jump shoots on los perfectly emphasizing my point that this is a busted mechanic. He does this every single fight in the video, so it should be evidence to change/remove the ability.

There is no counter play to spammable, anytime, no immunity root. The suggestions from people in comments to run away as a counter..... That isn’t a counter... that is running away because you can’t counter.

To all of those saying it is a snare. No. Read the ability in Charplan “99% snare, Type: Root” just like every other root in the game. For it to be a snare you would need to be able to move at a time reduced rate of speed, which you cannot do until it is wearing off.

Scouts cannot dual wield or use two hander as others have pointed out, but other classes can’t spec shield and slam, numb root. I agree something can be done to bring scouts more in line, but it has to be without this perma root abomination.

This pretty much.
Another problem is you'll be in competition with a rej cleric for that slot. This servers been around long enough now for some very high realm ranks vs your reliatively unknown, low rr friar. The lack of many 8man pugs won't help your plight.

Had to stop the video to not vomit. This is such exploitative gameplay it is sick. The suggestions to counter this are laughable. “Two assassins garrote” ok, so counter 1 is to outnumber the scout. Counter 2 don’t fall for los trap.... so run away which is not a counter... remove this bs already. Literal no offense to the player because he is using the class mechanic, but you can see how much of a crutch this perma root is and it is gross.
